History

Pambele Aviation is the continuation of Jemax Aviation in a new guise and with a fresh “jacket” to align ourselves with the Pambele Africa group of companies.

The company was established in 2005.  The air service operation was initially based on two Bell 206 Jet Ranger III leased to third party operators.  The need for an independent air service license lead to the recruitment of Francois Joubert in September 2006 (he was the 1st full-time employee).  A non-schedule air service license was granted during 2007.  This licensing process was followed by the issuing of a Part 127 AOC (helicopter) and a Part 135 AOC (light fixed wing) by the SACAA during 2007 and 2008, respectively.  Over time the company changed from a helicopter operator to a light fixed wing service.

From humble beginnings the company has grown and morphed over time to the air service currently providing non-schedule charter services to a wide array of clients.  Over time we have accumulated valuable experience, made wide ranging contacts in the travel and tourism industry and set standards for service excellence.  Most importantly, we have established a reputation as a safe, reliable and trustworthy air charter operator.

Pambele Aviation is based at Grand Central Airport which is located at Midrand, midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria.  The name of this airport espouses its central location to Sandton, O.R. Tambo International Airport and the capital of the Republic of South Africa.

Pambele Aviation also has a satellite base of operation located at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (located near Nelspruit) which is the gateway to the world renowned Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Reserve and in close proximity to the southern parts of Mozambique.
